2000:
Jeroen Jansen and Niels van der Graaf met each other at the age of 16 and 17 at a local DJ contest. The two Dutch guys lived in the same town, Den Helder (NL) and after the contest they both go there own way. Jeroen has many gigs as a DJ and no time to start up his own music productions. Niels puts al his time in school and producing music.

2002:
Jeroen starts producing and finishes ‘Raise Your Hands’. With this vocal house track he get’s support from the international famous Dutch DJ, Erick E. Occasionally Erick calls him to provide him with new productions so he can play it at his gigs! That is where Jeroen get’s motivated to produce more and more. He invites vocalist Miss Bunty and changes the track into ‘Now Is The Time’, containing vocals by Bunty.
Rob Boskamp wants to release the track under his record company Fonky Vibes. The follow up, ‘Got To Be Free’ is also played by Erick E and then gets picked up by the guy we now know as mister ‘Put Your Hands Up’, Fedde Le Grand!

Jeroen, 18 years old back then, is signing his contract a few months later at publisher Chrysalis Music for his productions. A new upcoming producer is born.

2004:
Niels starts picking up his DJ skills again. Jeroen does a ‘Jance Remix’ of ‘LPK & Sinnerman’. It was played by the global biggest DJ’s. They were receiving support mails from Roger Sanchez, Michael Grey, Sound-Dezign, Full Intention and David Guetta. The Jance Remix was released on the A-side of by English house label Togetherness Records!

June 2006:
Jeroen hears some very cool stuff via a linked friend from Niels and they decide to team up. ‘Rockdown’ is born! They create one studio base to produce the tracks. So now it was time to release themselves!

September 2006:
Niels joins publishing Chrysalis Music. Now as ‘Rockdown’ they are getting well-known and recognised as a real fast upcoming DJ / Producers duo by many labels and A&R Managers. After some weeks of producing together, the track Rockdown is finished with massive vocals of Marty Lee. It was then just a matter of time before labels contacted them for a record deal. Jeroen and Niels choose the label of no one less then world wide superstar DJ Ferry Corsten. And so they signed ‘Rockdown ft. Marty Lee – Rockdown’ to the Flashover Recordings house/electro sub-label Aleph Recordings in January 2007.

The track appeared to have a great tune and an even better chorus! A mix of Electro / Eclectic combined with Urban and Latin tunes creates this dance floor burner to a big main room track. Hands in the air, yet cool! Played many times at world’s greatest house music paradise, Ibiza!

August 2007:
Ferry Corsten’s Aleph Recordings releases ‘Rockdown ft. Marty Lee – Rockdown’ on Aleph 005. With remixes done by JL Aleph and Muzikjunki.

Rockdown is hitting clubs as a DJ act. More and more applies for (inter)national gigs are coming in.
